CanonWars.com

For quite a while now, I've been noticing that canon issues have been taking up more and more space on ST-v-SW.Net.

While to a large degree this is understandable and even necessary (like the 'discovery' phase of a trial, to re-use my analogy), the issue is basically settled now. And so all this canon mess really does is to bog down the site in regurgitated-preliminary-discussion after regurgitated-preliminary-discussion. I can only imagine the reaction of someone coming to a site claiming to analyze the combat capabilities of two sci-fi powers and, instead of cannons, they just keep hearing about canons.

Further, my interest in this particular sub-field of epistemology has branched out a bit in regards to the canon stuff. It's to the point now that it doesn't really fit on ST-v-SW.Net . . . after all, I already have mentions on here of Sherlock Holmes canon, the canon of 2001, Biblical canon, et cetera.

Well, enough of that. It's time for a change.

As such, I'd like to announce the creation of the Canon Wars website at CanonWars.com. Of course it's far, far too early for it to make a grandiose entrance . . . right now it's just got a blog featuring all the canon-related posts copied over from this blog. But, I've got some ideas for it that ought to be pretty neat, so we'll see how it goes.

In theory, then, you shouldn't see any more canon-related stuff on this weblog. For those of you tired of hearing the word, you can breathe a sigh of relief.

Psst! You might want to stick a couple notes on the site news about the blog being back up, and launching a new website. Some people stopped checking the blog.
